Had a fantastic stay at Hotel Stein in Salzburg! Its prime location in the city center allowed us to stroll to almost every hotspot within minutes. The proximity to the river provided a delightful view. Unlike previous hotels, this one went the extra mile by providing shower gel, hair shampoo, conditioner, hand & body lotion, and hand soap, a thoughtful touch.
Upon arrival, the porter's assistance with our luggage set a welcoming tone and also provided us with some warm towels at a cold winter day. The reception team was quick to respond to our needs, delivering a kettle, spoons, and slippers within 10 minutes of our call. The attention to detail and prompt service made our stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel for both its convenience and thoughtful amenities.
Traveled here as an American, 100% loved it. Location was perfect. Hotel room was clean and staff was really helpful for finding authentic spots to go to... not the tourist trap spots.
Rooms were as seen in photos and spotless. The roof top bar was an awesome place to close out a day of running around!!
Rooftop area is amazing and worth going to visit while you are here. The bartenders are friendly and the atmosphere is nice and chill. Wish their outdoor area had heated lamps bc it would make a world of a difference.
A wonderful stay as part of our honeymoon road trip last year.
We had arranged parking with the hotel which was a couple of hundred meters down the road, I did struggle a little to find it but once I spotted the sign it was easy to park. I dropped the bags and the wife at the hotel whilst I parked and she was warmly greeted and treated to a glass of Prosecco as she waited for me. We were kindly upgraded to a room with a view of the river which was beautiful and most appreciated.
We didn’t have breakfast so unfortunately can’t comment on the food but the hotel and room were very clean and well decorated, staff were great, friendly and helpful.
The rooftop bar is wonderful, stunning views and a great selection of drinks. Be aware though it gets busy so ideally book if you want food or the best views.
Location is perfect, a short stroll to the old town and plenty around the hotel also.
We would definitely stay here again when we return!
Great hotel in a very convenient location. I stayed with my wife and 2 daughters. We booked two rooms.
The hotel is recently renovated and has a modern decor. We had a room with view of the river and the city. the room and the bathroom were both spacious, clean and well laid out. The girls room was a smaller room. I travel regularly for work and the shower was the best I’ve ever had- the water pressure was amazing. The mini bar is basic (but complimentary). Good comfortable bed with a couple of pillow options.
Downstairs there is a cafe/bistro, but opens at 10am and closed on Sunday and Monday. Breakfast is available on the rooftop terrace bar which has amazing views of the city and the river- it has a basic buffet and a few a la Carte food options for breakfast, that said there are plenty of cafes close by.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come again.
reception staff should know how to talk to guests first. they don't understand English anyway. They put a man and he doesn't understand anything. The food and rooms are not bad.
Overall great experience spent 4 days here and location was great. Other side of bridge from Old Town.
Can walk to most attractions incl hop on off starting location. …
We had booked a table for 10:00 a.m. for breakfast on the terrace, which was closed without further notice when we arrived. When inquiring about the outdoor seating, we were informed that the terrace was closed due to bad weather (the sky …
